Abstracts with Scale

Learn all about scale. In order to create interesting abstracts, you can play with both depth of color and size of shapes -- and we'll be doing both techniques. This session uses mark-making and collage to form the composition. Work on heavyweight paper or canvas, whatever size you choose.  

Supplies List:

• Substrate of Choice: Heavyweight Paper (Watercolor, Mixed Media or Bristol), or Stretched Canvas

• Acrylic Paint or Gouache

• Paintbrush

• Water-soluble crayons, pastels and/or pencils (Neocolors, Scribble Sticks, Inktense Pencils) 

• Collage paper

• Mod Podge or Mat Gel Medium

• Water for rinsing brush

• Paper towel or rag for blotting brush
