About the event
This project is pure fun. It explores color and texture, and includes a message to yourself. Affirmations help remind us of the positive. You can display this piece anywhere you need a little pick-me-up. We will also discuss ways to boost creativity over the coming weeks.
Supplies List:
• 8"x10" canvas or heavy-weight paper (Bristol, mixed media or watercolor paper)
• Paintbrushes
• Paint: Acrylic or Gouache -- an array of your favorite colors, plus white and black
• Rubber Stamps and/or Stencils
• Collage Paper (tissue, gift wrap, scrapbook paper, old maps, junk mail, etc.)
• Decoupage Medium (Mod Podge or Matte Gel Medium)
• Water for rinsing brushes
• Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes
*Note: participants will receive a downloadable page of Affirmations, but feel free to print out your own quote, statement or phrase to personalize your art
