Autumn Bouquet

Anticipate the cool, crisp autumn season with a colorful mixed media bouquet. This process starts by sketching elements in water-soluble crayon or pastel, then mixing and layering in watercolors. Make your blooms come alive with bold strokes, gentle details and depth of color. Work on heavyweight paper, whatever size you choose. Finished piece can be matted and framed to your liking.

Supplies List:

• Watercolor, Mixed Media or Bristol Paper (I like 9"x12" cold press 140 lb. Watercolor paper by Canson or Strathmore)

• Watercolor Paint (your favorite set)

• Watercolor paintbrush

• Water-soluble crayons, pastels and/or pencils (Neocolors, Scribble Sticks, Inktense Pencils or Gelatos) 

• Water for rinsing brushes 

• Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes
