About the event

Enjoy this creative, restorative workshop co-hosted by artist Jennifer Evans and Kandi Silk, yoga instructor. 

Kandi will lead you through gentle yoga (no experience needed), a short breath meditation, mindful mandala art demo and journal prompts to help you focus inward.  Connect with yourself in a loving way in the community of fellow creatives! Support will be given throughout the mindful art making process. Focus on exploration of materials and internal inquiry, which helps us stay in the moment and relish our precious time.

Following the mindful art practice, Jennifer will lead an abstract art project using mark-making, gestural brushstrokes, shapes and color. Use intuitive movement to express ideas and evoke emotion. Learn how to utilize these initial products to compose a beautifully unique work of art. (We will be working on large 18"x24" heavyweight watercolor paper.) No previous painting experience necessary.

Workshop will conclude with a sharing circle and meditation.

*Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, if not please let us know.

**If you have a journal you would like to use as well as any favorite mark making supplies, feel free to bring them, otherwise all other supplies will be provided.
