Mixed Media Recipes: Paint, Ink & Collage

Mixed media art provides an opportunity to create with different techniques. This series explores combinations or "recipes" to make a final project. This session uses acrylic paint, ink and collage. Work on heavyweight paper or canvas, whatever size you choose. If you don't have all of the art supplies listed, you may substitute items you might have at hand. (Alternatives are listed below). 

Supplies List:

• Substrate of Choice: Heavyweight paper, stretched canvas, canvas panel or canvas paper

• Acrylic Paint

• Paintbrushes

• Acrylic ink 

• Collage papers

• Matte medium or decoupage medium (Mod Podge) and brush to apply

• Old Plastic Card for scraping paint

• Water for rinsing brushes

• Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes
