Painting Light + Shadow in Watercolor

Learn to paint a simple subject with light, highlight and shadows using watercolor. (This technique is helpful no matter what medium you prefer.) Work on heavyweight paper. Finished piece can be matted and framed to your liking.

Supplies List:

• Watercolor Paper (cold press, 140 lb. Watercolor paper)

• Watercolor Paint (your favorite set)

• Watercolor Paintbrush

• Water for rinsing brushes 

• Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes 

--Optional: watercolor pencils or water-soluble pastels
