Pear Still Life

Paint a still life with bold strokes, collage and water-soluble crayons. We'll talk about adding layers of color and texture, and how to "see" light and shadows. Create your own still life composition, or use the reference photos that will be provided.

Supplies List:

• Canvas or 1 sheet of Watercolor, Mixed Media or Bristol Paper

• Gesso (if desired)

• Paintbrushes

• Water-soluble crayons, pastels and/or pencils (Neocolors, Scribble Sticks, Inktense or similar) *Note: regular pastels can be used, but they won't blend with a brush like the water-soluble options

• Acrylic paint or gouache

• Collage papers

• Decoupage medium (ModPodge or matte medium)

• Water for rinsing brushes 

• Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes
