Spring Daffodils

Paint daffodils in bloom with acrylic paint. Learn mixed media techniques to add visual texture. Finish by muting the background with a pastel color. Any easy project for all skill levels. This class will be via the online Zoom platform. Link to the class will be provided once registration is completed. You will also reference photos. The session will be recorded, so you can rewatch at your own pace.

Supplies List:

• Canvas (whatever size you'd like to paint on) or heavyweight paper (anything labeled Bristol, Watercolor, Mixed Media will work) -- I will be demonstrating on 10" square canvas • Brushes: flat brush for covering large areas, medium round brush and fine detail brush • Gesso (canvas primer -- don't worry if you don't have this. To save time, coat your canvas with gesso before the painting session) • Acrylic Paint: yellow, orange, white, brown, green, black + whatever you want for your background color. I will be demonstrating with a periwinkle blue/lavender.) • Water for rinsing brushes • Paper towel or rag for blotting brushes • Palette (plastic lid or disposable plate will work)

Intermediate/Advanced variations: • Heavy Body Acrylic Paint (Yellow) • Watercolor pencil or water-soluble crayon (orange, brown)
